Happy Day

Heyy guys. How are you? I will hopefully blog everyday from now on because I can really do anything in High School. So, how is everyone. I have decided that for each blog I write from now on, I will keep you updated on my “love life” aka Dave. Here’s another snippet of our conversation.

Sensing the rising tempers in the bus, Dave said, “Wow James. This isn’t a prettiness contest or a tallness contest. I was just asking how tall you were.”

James then replied, in his rather obnoxious tone of voice, and said “Well Shruthi wishes she was pretty and tall enough to get a boyfriend.”

Dave interrupted James, and said, while looking at me “I think Shruthi is a very beautiful girl.”

Swoon. I felt numb everywhere, unsure of what to do, what to say. And I mean, a day before Cabbage Night, on October 29, 2009, he said my hair looked pretty. All of these compliments: overwhelming. And all I managed to get out of my mouth was “Oh… ‘Kay.”

I’m serious, this guy will be “the death of me.” And I have a LOT of mixed emotions about him. :O As I said in the previous blog as well, these “snippets” of a conversation all happened on one bus ride.

Anyways, back to normal stuff. Basically, stress has been trying to take over my life for the past… 3 months. It’s been really annoying but I think I’m finally controlling it well. I have also contacted all of my affiliates about why my site was down for months. My host was having issues with her server, and they have been temporarily fixed. Only about 5 of my affiliates out of 20 have commented back on my site. I might remove some of you guys from my affiliates because I am not able to correspond with a lot of you guys enough. I hope you guys aren’t offended.

Content wise, I might be adding more articles, polls, and stories. I may add a few graphics sooner or later, and I am almost done with coding a new theme for the Themes section in my Content area. I’ll definitely update more when I have time.

Sorry for the about one month hiatus. Unfortunately, my host wasn’t responding, and my website was on the verge of getting deleted. It was really bad and I wanted to cry really badly because… well, I’ve been having some problems at home. My Dad thinks the best thing I can do is go see a psychiatrist because he doesn’t want me to be too affected by everything going on at home.

And school wise, things are alright. My grades are pretty good, although they could be better. My main causes of stress are school work, and the guy I like. Did I mention that I recently found out that he has a girlfriend? Well, I don’t want this whole blog to be about “him”, but I want to show you a small excerpt of the conversation I had with him on the bus on Wednesday, when coming home.

Dave then proceeded to randomly say “Also, there’s this kid in my grade who says he hates this girl, but flirts with her all the time, just like I do with you.”

Shruthi said “What?!?”

Dave simply replied “What?” with a look of obliviousness. I however, saw right through his “act”, but chose not to pursue the subject.

And the amazing thing is, this guy has a girlfriend, Rachel, who’s extremely pretty. Why me?

This is the story of my life.

Obviously, this isn’t the whole conversation that I had with him, but you get the general idea…

Far From Normal.

Yupp. The title says it all. I AM far from normal. Anyways so I was all ecstatic that I finally got over this Indian guy I liked, and I was like “YES! I WON’T LIKE A SINGLE GUY EVER AGAIN.” Then, the next day, I got on my bus to school, and I saw the CUTEST sophomore in the history of cute guys, and I just said one word. Fuck. Why are girls so… weird? Why can’t we be like guys and just flirt but not like? It really shouldn’t be that hard. So, now I like that kid. I don’t wanna reveal his name but I do want to talk about him.

Anyways, so after I saw him on the bus, he looked at me in this weird way, almost as if he was going to EAT me. The kinda way Edward looks at Bella. So, the guy I liked (I’m calling him Mystery Guy) seemed sorta like… a creeper.

So on our way home on the bus after school, we go into an argument. And since I like to argue AND win, it wasn’t pretty. It started off with him saying he “hates freshman” and that they ruin the bus ride. Now I was like wtf? That was a bitch slap right there. So I told him to shut the fuck up and keep his thoughts to himself. AND HE FUCKING SAID “NOT GONNA HAPPEN… FRESHMAN.” And I ended this stupid little squabble with this: FUCK YOU… Sophomore.

Anyways, he’s being a lot friendlier than usual nowadays, and yesterday, he “accidentally” touched my leg. Accidentally of course. I REALLY don’t know what to think of him, but I know something for sure; I DO like him. Comment please?

Heyy guys. How are you all? I felt like I owed everyone another blog. Alrighty. Odd title right? And there’s a cuss word!! Well, if you haven’t already heard, Taylor Swift won “Best Female Video” at the VMA’s and I felt she deserved some award, even though she isn’t the best singer. So, when I was watching her on TV, I noticed that her gratefulness and happiness about winning was genuine. And that’s when I was really really REALLY happy for her. Next thing Kanye “the Wicked Bitch of the West” (Kanye West; see what I did there) shows up and he’s like “Taylor I really don’t wanna burst your bubble, and you did great, but Beyonce had the BEST music video of the year.” So he was literally like, fuck you Taylor, Beyonce is the shizz. In other words, he was like, bitch slap. Taylor looked like she was gonna cry and Beyonce was in the crowd like “what”? She was acting all “innocent” and Kanye was being his usual BITCH self. I was REALLY MAD AT HIM. And Taylor? She took it in her stride and is completely disregarding what he said and not letting it affect her. I am SO proud of her.

Other than that, I finally got over this guy I liked for EONS and now I like another guy at my school. I SUCK. Completely. Like epic fail. The only good thing about liking him is that he is showing quite a few signs of liking me back. Comment please?!

I am so fucking sorry. I feel terrible. I have neglected this site for about a month and I really don’t know why. Well, I sorta do.

Number 1: High School. I’m finally a freshman! I should be happy right? Nope. Not gonna happen. I get up at 5:30 in the morning to catch the bus to my school at 6:40, and I get home at about 5:30 in the evening, so I have NO free time. Plus, I take so many classes that I am always doing homework when I would have been editing the site or socializing. Sad life right?

Number 2: I got grounded for the stupidest fucking reason on the planet but I wasn’t allowed to go on facebook, this site, my phone, or anywhere “fun.” It was horrible but I got off the punishment early as long as I don’t get obsessed with facebook and my site and stuff.

Number 3: I just got bored with the site. I needed time off. I really didn’t feel like having to take the time to edit. For quite some time, editing my site got to be more like a chore than a soothing activity. So, I just pretty much STOPPED. And I’m sorry. I really am.

I commented all of my affiliates to let them know what was going on so I just want to let everyone know that I’m still alive. And I hope you guys give me a second chance. Thanks.

I Think I’m Done

I think I am going to quit web-design for good. My life away from the computer isn’t going great and web-design isn’t helping me relieve my stress. I am going to a different High School than all of my friends, I will get home from school at about 6 each day, the guy I like treats me like a piece of lint, and all of the things I am good at, I take second place in. Keep in mind that I haven’t quite said I’m quitting, but be ready. Comment if you would like.

Random title. I know… Haha . I finally finished the theme. Click refresh!! I worked my ass off on this theme, but it just doesn’t seem good enough. Literally all the textures and the background picture I used were made by me. I am so proud of myself.

I owe credit to Vicky at Audio Rush, Gillian at GVD Paperplanes, and Kerry at Tiny Scars for their amazing wordpress tutorials, which allowed me to make my theme look better. Please comment and tell me if you like the theme.

Washington DC

Heyy guys!! I am in Washington DC for my brother’s math bee final! He made it to the nationals, and he could win!!

Anyways, I am getting tired of this theme so I am already coding another one. I can’t wait till I am done making that theme because this theme looks like crap. I would be coding it right now but there is no internet connection for my laptop. It’s really sad… The only reason I am able to type this blog is because Cingular has a wifi connection for the iPhone.

I really don’t know what else to blog about… Maybe I will make a VLOG later to get out my feelings. Well I guess I will blog about this math bee. So anyways, my brother won first place in the regional spelling bee in our state so he qualified for the nationals! The results will be out around 4:30 PM and I am do excited!! It took a lot of effort for my brother to make it this far and the trip to washington dc took ages!! Hopefully everyone’s efforts paid off. More later about whether my brother shyam won or not. Byee.

Indian Festivals

Heyy guys! You are probably wondering why this blog is named Indian Festivals… But before I get to that, I would like to thank Daryll from http://fleeinfear.net/ for validating my site to the best of her abilities. I am in turn giving her a domain and hosting, like I promised. I love ya Daryll! Thanks SO much.

In other news, I went a step further with wordpress. I have finally managed to get the comments link IN THE MIDDLE OF A CLOUD!! How awesome is that? I owe credit to http://audiorush.org for her amazingly simple yet perfect tutorial. I also owe Gillian credit for the pagination of my blog. Without her, my theme would have looked like crap… I have also done a different type of PHP include so that my PHP pages are using the Wordpress theme.

Anyways, back to the Indian Festivals stuff. I somehow feel that there are WAY to many of them. I feel like I just celebrated another Indian festival a week ago. So, today, I had another festival, and it was a type of pooja or a sort of ritual for a god / goddess. I don’t mind doing poojas and all that stuff, but what pisses me off is getting up in the morning. It is a pain in the ass. I got up at 6 today, and mom and dad got up at 4 in the morning!! I seriously could have died because of lack of sleep. I have to go do more “stuff” for the pooja so talk to you all later.
